A reproduction etched glass panel for a stair landing in an Alexander "Greek" Thomson villa in Cove, Scotland. Alexander "Greek" Thomson, Glasgow's other great architect, whose contribution to the architecture of the city is immeasurable. The picture shows the glass masked off prior to etching. The design is hand drawn and cut.
The design was simplified from an existing victorian etched panel and adapted for this modern home.
A sandblasted etched kitchen door. The glass door uses Dorma's Manet modular system , "truly elegant stainless steel design". Another method of glass decoration is screenprinting. The colours are not as intense as in other techniques but is/ was used by studios for mass production.
